It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Gloria, our devoted mother, beloved wife, and a friend to all who touched her life, on June 30, 2020.
She left us peacefully in her home town of Brampton at the age of 79.
Born Gloria Yvonne Braithwaite in St. Philip, Barbados, on September 4, 1940. Arrived to Toronto, Canada in 1968 where she eventually would meet her husband Orson Bourne of 49 years.
Beloved mother to Gail and Jacqueline. Cherished grandmother to Campbell, Marshall and Aiden.
She was a steadfast child of God and was most comfortable in a church and amongst her fellow Bajan expatriates.
Compassion, love, cooking, an unreal work ethic, and a deep pride in Canada are the legacies left behind by her.
Loyal to a fault, if she knew and liked you there was no limit to her generosity.
She will be missed by everyone that knew her. Our loss is heavens gain.
