In Loving Memory of Gloria Quiacos Aniceto

Gloria Quiacos Aniceto (July 13, 1952 - October 31, 2023)

It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of Gloria Quiacos Aniceto on October 31, 2023.

Darling wife of 45 years to Roberto Aniceto Jr, loving mother of Alvin (Tracy), Mark (Sandy), and Megan (late Dwayne A, Mark T). Cherished Lola (Grandmother) of Benjamin, Alexis, Eliza, Matthew, and Joel. She is also survived by a wide circle of relatives and friends who will always hold her close in their hearts.

Gloria was a shining light in the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing her. She left a lasting impression with her kindness, warmth, generosity, compassion, intelligence, and countless other qualities. She had a warm and welcoming spirit, making people feel loved and valued in her presence.

Born in Bailen, Cavite, Philippines, Gloria was the daughter of Benjamin and Sotera Quiacos. At the young age of nineteen she left her home country to complete her studies in nursing in Canada at the Credit Valley School of Nursing. Upon graduating in 1974, Gloria started her career at the Mississauga Hospital (now Trillium Health Partners), retiring after 38 years of service.

Outside of her professional life, she enjoyed gardening, fishing, and travelling the world. But above all, Gloria cherished the time spent with family and friends. From supporting her kids through various activities (baseball, basketball, singing and dancing) to organizing Lola day camps and Aniceto family vacations.

Gloria may be no longer with us in person, but her memory and spirit will continue to touch the lives of everyone she has met.

Gloria will be forever missed and never forgotten. Rest in eternal peace.

Remembering Gloria makes me think of her beautiful gardens and how she loved it โ€œAt the Lakeโ€ and spending time with her family.
