Gladys Maud Thetford

March 8, 1946 -  June 8, 2025

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Gladys Maud McDonald Thetford. She peacefully departed at the age of 79 on Sunday, June 8, 2025, at Whitby Hospital.

Gladys is survived by her three children: Marcia White, Novlyn Thetford, and Gary Thetford. She also leaves behind her grandchildren: Jody, Chantel, Rehona, Shanice, Anika, Khrystal, Paris, Jasteah, and Messiah, as well as her great-granddaughter, Alani.

Gladys was a remarkable pastor's wife, mother, sister, aunt, caregiver, and friend. A celebration of her life will be held at Thornton Funeral Centre, located at 1200 Thornton Road North, Oshawa, Ontario, on Monday, June 30, 2025.

The schedule for the day is as follows:

- Viewing: 11:00 AM

- Funeral Service: 12:00 PM - 2:30 PM

- Interment: Thornton Cemetery

In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Gladys can be made to the Whitby Specialty Food Bank by cheque payable to "Whitby Specialty Food Bank" or E-transfer to whitbyspecialtyfoodbank@gmail.com.
