In memory of

Gisele Anita Griffith

November 7, 1932 -  April 12, 2024

Sadly, our family is announcing the passing of our Mother and our family rock Gisele Griffith. She passed away quietly with family at her side. We would like to thank all of the Family, Friends, Doctors and Nurses who have supported us during this difficult time.

Gisele, Born November 7, 1932 was a mother of 5 children (Gail, Grant, Glen, Gary & Guy), Grandmother to 8 and Great Grandmother to 5 all of whom will sorely miss her. Gisele was the second oldest in a large family (8 Brothers and 5 Sisters) from Quebec and moved to Toronto when she was 12 years old. She has always had a close relationship with all her siblings and especially with Claire (the oldest of her 5 sisters ) along with Louise, Jackie, Lorraine and Dianne.

Gisele in her early 20’s met the only love of her life Murray Griffith and enjoyed a happy life together until his passing in 2004. Gisele never really drank or smoked but really enjoyed parties and time with her family and friends as was evident at her recent 90th Birthday party where over one hundred people of all ages came to celebrate with her. She had a love for doing puzzles, knitting and always followed the Blue Jays.

Although Gisele’s passing is sad for those of us she is leaving behind, we must be happy for her as she is reuniting with friends and family who have gone before her and especially the ones she missed the most from all the times they had on earth, Murray, Claire and Russ.

We warmly invite you to a visitation for Gisele on Saturday June 1st, 2024, from 2 to 4pm. at Meadowvale Funeral Centre, 7732 Mavis Road | Brampton ON L6Y 5L5. Followed by a reception where refreshment will be served and give us all a chance to reminisce and celebrate Gisele’s life.

Madelynn and I were sad to hear of her passing. The family were very fortunate to have a mother of her caliber. To be so down to earth is a quality to have in this day especially coming from a large family. Our condolences especially to Guy and his family for looking after her all these years. It wasn't just Guy alone it was always a family effort and you could see that it's just that Guy was able to make sure she had a home and never wanted for nothing. Again from my family to yours we will miss seeing her and that lovely smile of a mother and grandmother. She is now with her beloved Murray.
