Giovanni Cavaliere, July 8th, 1935 - August 30, 2021. Giovanni was born in Casoli, Abruzzo Italy and immigrated to Canada and eventually settling in a Scarborough, Ontario where he lived most of his life and raised his family. He was a kind and loving husband to Jane (Vincenza) and now is reunited with Jane in heaven. An amazing father and grandfather, who did everything he could for his kids. Me (Jeahnette) and my brother Vince (Lydia) and our kids Daniel, David, Dante John and Emma will miss him greatly. Giovanni was always happy, always looked at the bright side. A kind, generous man, kid at heart, who always wanted to have fun and was always disciplined by my mother for his mischievous ways. “John!-John!” She tried anyway. He was a health nut, who loved jogging then eventually walking like a religion. He played organized ball hockey, soccer (loved sports) with his kids until late into his 60s. He loved talking to anyone who would listen. He loved the simple things in life and all he ever wanted was to spend time with family. The ‘Family Picnic’ the annual highlight of his year. Giovanni will now be organizing Family Picnics in heaven. My he Rest in Peace.
