In memory of

Gholamali "Ali" Mohtashami Maali

February 20, 1934 -  November 2, 2023

In loving memory of Gholamali (Ali) Mohtashami Maali, a man who held a deep affection for his wife, Mehri Yalfani, and cherished his family immensely. He was a dedicated father (baba) to his children, Shirin, Arash, and Nooshin, a loving grandfather to Keon, Isabel, and Noah, and a caring father-in-law to Michelle, Kambiz, and Afshin. His love for life, family, and friends was boundless.

As an electromechanical engineer, he stood among the pioneering generation of engineers educated by Iranian professors in the early days of Iranian Universities. Throughout his career, he undertook significant projects in both Iran and Canada, consistently prioritizing the greater good over personal gain.

Ali possessed a tender heart, an enchanting sense of humour, and a profound sensitivity that could not abide injustice or suffering. He taught us that shedding tears is just as significant as sharing laughter, and sometimes, it's the beautiful mixture of both emotions that truly matters. Surrounded by his loved ones until his final moments, his memory will forever reside in our hearts.

We are deeply saddened with loss of our beloved Mohandes Ghorlam Ali
Mohatashemi. His life, his way of thinking and, his communication with
extended family, has impacted us in various levels. He was of short
educated population of Iran's community whom made himself as a success and
kind example for new generation. New generation to thrive for success
watching him and learning from him, He truly created acting good thinking
good and saying good. He influence my family and specially myself by just
watching him listening to him learning a different view of world from my
surroundings and expanding it to how far we can thrive for it. His
departure from earth, breaks our heart but thinking of him remind us how to
love how, how to cherish this short gifted life with family friends and how
to leave a positive impact behind. Truly his memory is lived with us with
our mind and heart. Our deepest condolences to his family as we celebrate
his life at heat and happy thoughts for our and next generations.

It is with sadness that we learn of Ali's passing. Losing a wonderful and loving family man is painful to accept. He was loved and much appreciated by his closest family and friends, who will always remember him as a genuine person who touched everyone with his soft manner and caring disposition. He was a man with a big heart and a warm embrace for those who have come to know him. Wishing the family the strength and fortitude to help one another see this through.
