Germane Antoun Khoury, lovingly known as Mena, born on September 28, 1928, passed away peacefully on Sunday January 21, 2024 at 95 years young.

She is now reunited with her mother and father, Adele Kerba and Antoun Khoury, husband, Jacques Khoury, brothers Elie and Gilbert, sister Mireille and sisters-in-law Laurice Habash and Marni Sweeney.

Survived by her adoring children, Gihan (Tawfik Husni), Joumana (Nidal Odeh) and Gihad, and her loving brother, Issa Khoury. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Rania (Robert Bosco), Rolla, Yara (Mark Andraous), Rosana (Steve Compton) and Nadeem, her great grandchildren, Joshua, Noah, Maya, Cassandra and Stephania and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

Born in Alexandria, Egypt but moved to Cairo with her family, where she got married and raised her children. As a widow, she later immigrated to Canada, to be closer to her mother and family.

Known for her charm, sharp memory, and delightful sense of humor, Mena never missed a family celebration, always the first to extend warm wishes. Her legacy of love and laughter lives on in the hearts of those she touched.

A cancer survivor, a mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt, cousin and friend… She will be greatly missed.

Visitation will be held at THE SIMPLE ALTERNATIVE - Mississauga, 1535 South Gateway Road, ON L4W 5J1, on Monday January 29th from 4 pm - 8 pm.

Funeral service will be held at YORK FUNERAL CENTRE at 160 Beecroft Rd, North York, ON, M2N 5Z5 on Tuesday January 30th at 11am, followed by the burial. Everyone is welcome to gather after the burial for refreshments and a light lunch.

My deepest heartfelt condolences in the passing of Germane! She was like a mom to me and a gramma to Trevor. We will cherish all our memories we had with her and all her good advice on life. Germane rest in peace, You will always be with us! Lots of Love!
