It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Gerard (Gerry) Sinanansingh. After a brave and stoic battle with lymphoma cancer, Gerry passed away peacefully at home with his loved ones by his side on August 17, 2023, at the age of 69.

Gerry is survived by his beloved wife Marlyne; his three children Jason (Leann), Justin (Laiyee) and Janelle (Jeremy); eight grandchildren (with a ninth on the way); his mother, two brothers and three sisters. He will be deeply missed by all of his friends, family and especially his grandchildren who adored him.

Gerry was a devoted family man who loved his wife deeply, and nurtured his kids & grandchildren. He was a mentor and role model to his children, grandchildren, siblings, colleagues and friends. Gerard enjoyed watching all sports, collecting and fixing cars, spending time in the garden and was the ultimate handyman.

Gerry lived a fulfilling life and had a very successful professional career at Novopharm/Teva as the longest tenured employee in company history serving over 40 years before retirement.

Our family would like to extend our sincere thanks to all friends and family for their ongoing love and support during this difficult time. We would also like to give thanks to all the medical professionals/caregivers at Sunnybrook Hospital, especially to Dr. Matthew Cheung who took special care of Gerry during his courageous battle.
