Gerald Lloyd Ogaki

February 17, 1958 -  October 31, 2021

Gerald Lloyd Ogaki
With great sadness, we announce that Gerry passed away peacefully on October 31, 2021 at Sunnybrook Hospital, at the all too young age of 63. Gerry will be lovingly remembered and deeply missed by his wife of 33 years, Nancy (Wong). Gerry enjoyed life to the fullest with Nancy, travelling on many cruises as well as spending time with family, gardening and nature walks close to home. Born in Toronto, he built computers from parts and kits as a teen and later worked at ATI Technologies.
Beloved son of Miyeko (Mae) and Tame (Buzz) Ogaki, brother to Janet Sakauye (Randy), Wendy (Mike Schweiger), Leonard (Judy), Alan (Wanda Jackson), and Wayne (Jenn Chui), brother in-law to Abraham Wong (Madarina), Kin Wong (Wai), Clarence Wong (Katherine) and sister-in-law Lai-Mui Ng (Barry). Dear uncle to Russ (Denise) and Kelly Sakauye; Todd, Craig and Ryan Ogaki; Maria (Miles) and Francis Wong (Jessie); Tavis and Fergus Wong; and Elaine and Howard Ng. Great-uncle to Theodore Sakauye. Gerry was friendly, polite and kind to everyone.
Special thanks for the care and assistance by doctors and staff at Sunnybrook Hospital. Memorial donations to the Sunnybrook Foundation will be warmly appreciated. No flowers or koden. No public funeral service. A private interment at Mount Pleasant Cemetery. Online condolences may be made at www.MountPleasantGroup.com.

Sending heartfelt sympathies to the Uncle Buzz & Aunt Mae families
on the passing of Gerald Lloyd. It breaks my heart to hear of his
untimely passing at such a young age. May there be some small
comfort in knowing that he is now at peace and free of pain. Much
love to all his relatives and friends.

I knew him for over thirty years, and every time I met him, he was always kind, gentle and soft spoken, and was involved in sport like hockey.
