In memory of

Gerald Keightley Maddison

November 28, 1940 -  May 7, 2025

Gerry was born on November 28, 1940, and lived a life full of fun, adventure, and service.

He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Elsie, and is survived by his son Keightley (Tasha; grandchildren Aiden and Penelope) and daughter Taye (Chris; grandson Angus). He was a devoted father, a proud grandfather, and a generous friend to many.

Gerry was a dedicated Freemason, a longtime volunteer at the Weston Area Emergency Support food bank and Canadian Contemporaries Dance Theatre, and a quiet force for good in his community. He was deeply proud of his children and grandchildren, and found great joy in their accomplishments, big and small. His steady presence, dry wit, and kind heart will be dearly missed.

A joint service celebrating the lives of Elsie and Gerry will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, July 5, at Central United Church Weston (1 King Street), followed by a celebration of their lives at the Weston Masonic Hall (2040 Weston Road).

Fancy hats are encouraged.

If you are planning on attending in-person or virtually, please complete this survey so the family can adequately plan: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/6TF3WHN

In lieu of flowers, donations in Gerry’s memory can be made to the Weston Area Emergency Support Food Bank (http://www.canadahelps.org/en/charities/weston-area-emergency-support/) or to Central United Church (http://www.canadahelps.org/en/charities/weston-area-emergency-support/).

Gerry is a true gentleman. He has a welcoming smile and a firm handshake. His words were always filled with love and dry-wit humour. He will surely be missed. Till we meet again to part no more, may he rest in eternal peace, free of all his earthly toil and labours.
