Georgios Koitses
October 19, 1942 – June 18, 2025

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of George Koitses, who went peacefully on June 18, 2025, at the age of 82.

George was born on October 19, 1942, in Vevi, Florina, Greece. In 1959, he immigrated to Toronto where he would build a beautiful life rooted in hard work, dedication, and love. Shortly after his arrival, George met the love of his life, Vassa. The two were married in 1962. Together, they found success in the restaurant business, building a strong foundation for their family and future.

George was predeceased by his beloved parents Pantelis and Marika; his siblings Costas, Vassa, and Alkiviadis and his daughter-in-law Franca.

He will be deeply missed and forever remembered by his devoted wife Vassa; his children Peter (Franca) and Tina (Frank); his cherished grandchildren Michael (Kyla), Anthony (Nicole), Sierra, and Nick; and his great-grandchildren Matteo, Theodore, Nathan, and Thomas. He leaves behind many extended family members and friends who will remember his warmth, strength, and kindness.

George’s life was filled with love, family, and meaningful moments. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
