In memory of

Georgina Makrigiorgos

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Georgina Makrigiorgos, wife, sister, mother, aunt, grandmother and great grandmother on May 31, 2023. She leaves behind her loving husband Nick. She was a devoted mother to Akrivi (John), Chris (Linda), Laftery (Diane) and Mike (Eva). She is dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all, including her 13 grandchildren and her 8 great grandchildren. She lived her life for her family, doing so with a beautiful smile on her face. She was loved by everyone who met her. She had a great love for her faith. She was generous, putting others before herself. She was truly an angel. She will never be forgotten and will live always in our hearts.

She was a lovely kind and gentle soul who I don't believe could hurt another living thing.

When we first heard of my Godmothers passing, last Wednesday, the first memories I had was of a loving and generous soul.

Always smiling, always laughing and always telling you to……”eat, eat”.

Anyone who ever visited my Godparent’s home quickly learned that a “snack” was a 5 course meal, with even more food to take with you after.

My Nona’s generosity was not just limited to family but to everyone that walked in their front door. Their house was the place everyone called home.

Rare was the time that someone was not visiting, which now leaves so many with such warm loving memories.

My Godmother would fill your stomach with food and your heart with love.

Rest in peace Nona.
