Georgia was born in Athens Greece, to Anthony and Maria Maronitis, on April 12, 1936. She died peacefully at Thompson House nursing at the age of 86.

Georgia was devoted to her family, immediate and extended, and to her church community. She was a skilled seamstress who worked hard all her life for the good of her family.

She is survived by her husband Andrew Papadopoulos, her sons Themistocles Sam Papadopoulos and Peter Papadopoulos, her grandchildren Nicole (Dhy) Papadopoulos-Louangsiyotha, Phylea Papadopoulos, Andrew (Kassi) Papadopoulos and her great-grandchildren Tristan-Panagiotis, Evyenia, Elisia, Kalissa, Julianna and Lincon.
