In memory of

George "Geo" Wakayama

August 20, 1937 -  August 15, 2022

It is with great sadness that we share with family and friends the passing of George Wakayama on August 15, 2022 surrounded by his family. Beloved husband of Amy, loving father of Michael (Winnie), Tracey (Mark) and David (Stephanie). Survived by his sisters Joy Sakow (late Toshi), Mary Kamo (Sam), Jean Hall (Carl), Grace Fillion (late John) and predeceased by Elaine Nakashima (Joe). His grandchildren Nathaniel, Dawson, Ethan and Dylan will dearly miss their Papa. Fondly remembered by his many nieces, nephews and cousins.

The family would like to thank the doctors and staff at St. Michael’s Hospital and Hennick Bridgepoint Hospital for their support and kindness. In accordance with his wishes, only a visitation will be held at Pine Hills Funeral Centre, 625 Birchmount Road, Scarborough on Sunday August 21, 2022 from 2pm to 6pm.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Michael’s Foundation and Hennick Bridgepoint Foundation.

Kind, gentle, thoughtful big brother to my mom, uncle to me, uncle-in-law to my husband, great uncle to my children. He will always be in our hearts.
