George Telch

It is with great sorrow we announce the passing of George Telch on May 7, 2020 at his home with his wife Rozalia Telch also known as Rozsa Dancs by his side at aged 83 years. Cherished father of Katalin and Tom Turoczi. He is dearly loved and will be greatly missed by his granddaughters Braelyn and Nena and grandson Jaxon. George was a Professional Certified Engineer graduated at Ryerson University. He was a Professor of Fire Protection at the Faculty of Applied Science Engineering Technology and a Professor at Seneca College. George was the President of the 22 year old bilingual cultural Kalejdoszkop magazine. He translated many poems and short stories from Hungarian to English over the years. He also edited numerous books published by the Sigma Publishing and Kaleidoscope Publishing. George was an avid reader and storyteller. He was a mentor to many and was truly respected by everyone. In memory of George and in lieu of flowers, donations to North York General Hospital's Cardiology Ward would be appreciated by the family. Special thanks to the compassionate nurses and doctors who cared for George over the years there. Forever in our hearts!
