In memory of

George Soo

January 31, 1930 -  February 4, 2022

George Soo (my dad) was a remarkable man. He was selfless and always looked out for his family. He was the cook and chauffeur for mom and me. He was friendly and kind: He struck up a conversation with everybody he met like the neighbours, variety store owners, medical caregiver staff, etc. At Christmas, he bought extra boxes of chocolate to give to many of the people he interacted with during the year as a thank-you for their service.

My dad was a Toronto sports fan and watched the Blue Jays, Raptors, Argos and Maple Leafs. My dad loved bagpipe music and listened to it every chance he could get.

My dad worked at the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC) as a television technician. He retired from the CBC after 38 years. This was his first and only employer.

My dad came from a large family and had 9 brothers and sisters. He is survived by two sisters (Joan and Audrey).

My dad appreciated the help he received from the Kidney Care Clinic Team at the Michael Garron Hospital. Any donations to the Michael Garron Hospital would be appreciated.

My mom and I love Dad dearly. He will remain in our hearts always.

Love,
Jamie
