In memory of

George Robert Crich

July 14, 1927 -  February 19, 2025

At the age of 97 George passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 19, 2025 at the Craiglee Nursing Home in Scarborough.

George was born and raised in Orillia, Ontario and the surrounding area. He moved to Toronto at a young age to pursue a career in welding. Then came marriage to our mother Mirja (predeceased). Dad and Mom remained friends for life.

Dad is predeceased by his sister Muriel and brother Alan. He is survived by his sisters Dorothy and Florence.

He will be lovingly missed by his sons Brian, Gary, Robert and daughter Janice.

Dad was a loved grandfather to 7 and a great grandfather to 11.

Dad loved the great outdoors and spent the majority of his time up north. Whether he was boating, fishing, hoping to spot a deer or bear or just puttering around and relaxing - he was in his element.

Our Dad was fiercely independent. He asked nothing of no one and expected nothing from anyone. He had a sense of humor and could be somewhat of smartie pants himself. Dad lived life on his terms. He was a relaxed, happy and contented man.

R.I.P. DAD

We've been family friends since the kids were toddlers and have fun memories from our getting together at the Dewhurst home. Many of our families have passed away but the ones remaining cherish our fun times. May our God bless you all.
