Petropoulos, George (June 28, 1929 – October 12th, 2025) passed away peacefully at home with his family by his side on Sunday, October 12th in his 96th year.

George will be deeply missed by his devoted wife, Mary of 73 years whose care and dedication were unwavering until the end.
He was the cherished father of Terry (Stephanie) and proud grandfather to Marianne, Sophie and Jennifer (Chris). He will be remembered by his adoring great-grandchildren Athan, Ellis, Emory and Ariya, who he was so incredibly proud of and who adored him in return.

He will be greatly missed by his extended family and many friends and always remembered for his strength, sincerity, and devotion to all his loved ones.

Family and friends will be received at the Elgin Mills Funeral Centre, October 16th, 2025 from 4 - 8 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held at Elgin Mills Cemetery on Friday, October 17th at 10 a.m.

I remember Uncle George when he worked in the cafeteria at Sears and I a stock boy. He would always wait for me with a smile and add that extra French fries on my plate when coming down for my lunch break. He lived a long and happy life filled with love. We will miss Uncle George, but we will keep his memory alive. Our sincere condolences to Teta Anta, Terry and Vouly, Chris and Jenn, Maryanne, and Sophie.
