In memory of

George Osburn MacLellan

July 14, 1926 -  August 27, 2021

George O. MacLellan, P.Eng. Civil

July 14, 1926 - August 27, ,2021

George had a full and long life (95 years). He came from rural Nova Scotia, went to a one room country school, hitchhiked to New Glasgow High School and worked in the lumber woods. He attended St. Francis Xavier University, then acquired a Civil Engineering degree from Wayne State University in Detroit.

He and his wife Audrey settled in the Toronto area. His hobbies were: sailing, flying, building boats and houses. They travelled extensively. They had 2 children, Anne and Catherine and four grandchildren, Elisabeth, Brent, Graham and Camille.

The family wishes to thank all the staff of Faith Manor for the care and compassion they provided to George in his final days.

Due to the pandemic, a private memorial service will be held.

It was a privilege to know George even if for a brief time, and to hear something of his story. Nice to hear from himself about hitchhiking to high school. He was very proud of his family.
