In memory of

George LeClair

July 6, 1930 -  April 23, 2025

Joseph George LeClair passed away peacefully on April 23, 2025 at Trillium Mississauga Hospital, at age 94.

He will be forever loved and remembered by his wife Marie (Blais) whom he married in 1957, his children John (Isabel), Denis, Linda and Esthelle, his grandchildren Stephanie (Les), Jesse (Breanna), Chloe (Dylan) and Lys, and his great-grandchildren Tyler and Christina.

George was born in New Brunswick on July 6th, 1930. After marrying Marie in 1957, they eventually settled in Ontario where they built their family. George was a man of many talents and worked many incredible and interesting jobs over the years. George loved country music, bowling, fishing and spending his time outdoors. George loved Star Trek, Westerns and action films, often seen helping the hero by fighting with them from his chair.

In the past few years, George loved playing poker or cribbage, going to the casino and playing the slots with his family. If you told him you’d be going on Saturday, he’d have his outfit ready to go by Wednesday.

George was a big sports fan, cheering on the Toronto Blue Jays and Toronto Maple Leafs, who he got to listen to win one more time on the evening that he passed away.

The family would like to thank all the caregivers who took great care of George in these past few months at Cooksville Care Centre and Trillium Mississauga Hospital.

There will be a private service for the family at The Simple Alternative Funeral Centre in Mississauga.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Society of Peel.

Dearest Marie, John, Denis, Linda, Esthelle and Family …
Our sincere condolences and love following the loss of your beloved husband and father. George was one of a kind who loved his God, family and friends, to the fullest. We will miss him dearly, especially his many stories about the outdoors and fishing and the numerous events that we shared together which brought him, and us, so much joy and laughter.
Rest in peace George and may perpetual light shine upon you.
Love … Rick, Yvette and Family
