It is with sadness we announce the passing of George Dimakakos. Beloved husband of Stavroula. Loving father to Chris, Louis (Agatha Verney), and Patty (Anibal Ribeiro). Cherished grandfather to Hannah and Samantha Ribeiro and Kayla Verney. Beloved brother to Eirini and predeceased by brothers Nikos and Prokopios. Fondly remembered by his many nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends, all of whom he loved dearly. George will be remembered for his joy of gardening, his passion for reading history, and his love for the Montreal Canadiens. He was generous to all, strong-willed and always in search of meaningful conversation among friends.

Friends may call at the ELGIN MILLS FUNERAL CENTRE, 1591 Elgin Mills Road East, Richmond Hill (SE corner of Elgin Mills and Leslie) 905-737-1720 on Sunday, November 26, 2023 for a visitation starting at 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. A funeral mass will be held at St. Panteleimon Greek Orthodox Church, 11323 Warden Avenue, Markham on Monday, November 27, 2023 at 10:30 a.m.. An interment to follow at ELGIN MILLS CEMETERY.
