In memory of

George Damianidis

November 5, 1936 -  February 11, 2025

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our father George Damianidis on February 11 2025. He was 88 years old. George was born on November 5 1936 in Kraniona, Kastoria, Greece to Pando and Kiratsa Damianidis.

George immigrated to Canada in 1953 at the age of 17 where he worked in the restaurant industry. In 1957 he opened The Valley Inn Restaurant with his brother Bill which they proudly owned for 33 years.

George was a loving father to Kathryn (Evan) and Peter, proud Dedo to Arianna, Julia and Georgia and forever devoted husband to the late Carole.

Survived by his brother Bill and late wife Sophie, Louis and wife June.

George will always be loved by many and eternalized in our hearts.

Dear Kathryn
We are so sorry for your loss. George
was such an amazing caring person.
I would occasionally bump into him
either at the York Mills plaza. It was always
a pleasure. I’m sorry Kathryn. šŸ’™šŸ’™

Dear Kathryn and Peter
My deepest condolences to you and your family on the loss of your Father.
George was a very kind, generous, and thoughtful man. He always had a smile and a kind word for everyone he met.I always liked going to the Valley Inn for the delicious food that he ,Bill, and even your Baba and Dedo had served. He was also a great dancer of the horos!
May the memories of your Father and Dedo be sweet ones.
May George rest in peace

To Bill,Louis and June

I send my deepest sympathy on the loss of your brother and brother-in-law. I know of the special bond you all had together and hope you have treasured memories of George.
