In memory of

Geoffrey John Parkinson

July 14, 1945 -  February 3, 2026

It is with a sad heart that we announce the passing of our dad Geoff Parkinson. He will be truly missed by us, his sons, Mark and David. Dad is now once again with our mom Lynne who left us in 2013. He will be remembered with love by his grand children Jessica and Conor, his daughter in laws Gerrie and Joanne. He will be fondly remembered by all his friends and neighbors.
A celebration of life will take place in the summer because Dad hated the cold. Information will be provided at a later date.

Dad was a wonderful human being. I had almost 33 years with him in my life so the heartache is real. He always made me feel like I was a daughter he never had and I loved him for that. I will miss his dad jokes and his ability to find humor in almost everything because of his quick wit. You could never say yeah but in front of him. If you know you know! I'll miss you Dad and will love you always

I am deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Geoff, a dear friend. His compassion, empathy, and humour were traits that I treasured and will miss. Let's celebrate the life of a simple and great human being.
Sincerely, Judy and her family. Rest in peace.

Geoff was known for his quirky British sense of humour which was always good for a laugh. If you could figure it out!
We have been very good friends with the Parkinsons for over 50 years and happily have always called them ‘family’.

Geoff worked at Sears for many years as an appliance repair man. He was always happily available to help friends and family with their many appliance issues. He was also an excellent handyman and always working on projects. He had a gift for figuring out how to fix just about anything and even came up with new inventions to make things work more efficiently. He was affectionately known as GADGET MAN and MacGyver. He always had a tool kit in the trunk of his car, ‘just in case’. He was always prepared.
He was a great friend to many and always eager to help and share his abundance of knowledge in so many areas.
We will miss him terribly and will cherish our many memories of so many happy times as well as sad times that we shared. He will forever be in our hearts.

Geoff was a relatively quiet man. He was never one to enjoy great fanfare but went about his life with kindness, always happy to help anyone he could. He made a difference in my life, as I am sure he did for others. This world was a better place because of him and I'm sure he will be dearly missed by many. Rest in peace my friend.

It is hard to put into words what a truly special friend he was to me for so many years. He was one of the kindest people I have ever known — gentle, thoughtful, and always ready with a bit of wit that could brighten even the dullest day.

Some of my happiest memories are of our Yahtzee games together. He loved a challenge and brought that same spirit of fun and determination to every game he played. Whether he was winning or not (and quite often he was!), he made every moment enjoyable.

Our dinners out for fish and chips will always hold a special place in my heart — simple moments, full of laughter and easy conversation. Those times meant more to me than I can say.

He was an avid game player, always curious, always engaged, always ready to try something new. And if something needed fixing, he was the one you could count on — a fantastic handyman with remarkable skill and patience.

But above all, he was a truly lovely person. A wonderful friend. Loyal, kind, and genuine. I will miss him dearly, and I will carry the warmth of his friendship with me always.
