In memory of

Gennarino Gasdia

September 19, 1926 -  May 26, 2024

Brother Gennarino Gasdia, known to all as Gino, was born September 19th, 1926.
He was born in Fragneto Monforte Benevento Naples.
He would have been 98 years old this year.
He immigrated by ship to Canada on April 28th, 1952.
He married his beloved wife Filomena on December 4th, 1955.
Together they had two loving and caring daughters: Maria Medeiros and Giovanna Cugno.
He also had two loving son-in-laws. Carlos Medeiros and Congetto (Ken) Cugno.
At the age of 71 he had the joy of receiving his precious grandson, Zachary Gasdia Cugno.

His dear wife Filomena began studying the Bible with Jehovah's Witnesses in the early 1960's. Soon he too because of his love for God began studying the Bible and they both dedicated themselves to Jehovah and were baptized on May 27th, 1967.

His favorite scripture which gave him much comfort was Romans 14:8 "For if we live we live to Jehovah, and if we die, we die to Jehovah. So both if we live or die we belong to Jehovah."

He had a strong faith in Jehovah's promises. These promises of a new Paradise kept him going.

He was a kind and gentle man who will be dearly missed. He left his imprint on everyone's heart.

The family wishes to express how much they appreciated all the love, support, prayers, and comforting words of encouragement they have received during this very difficult time.

I apprenticed under Gino in the 80's, he was a great mentor and taught those around him the sheetmetal trade and life. I practice what he taught me to this day and will for the rest of my life.
