It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Gayle Marie Presta (nee Smith) on Tuesday, March 5, 2019 at Lakeridge Health Oshawa; peacefully with her family by her side at the age of 77. Loving mother of Ron, Chris (Julie), Cassandra and Kate-Lynn. Proud grandmother of Christopher Jr. and Kirsten. Dear sister of Herb, Larry, Ken, Penny, Jackie, Lea and their families. Gayle will be fondly remembered for her love of gardening and crosswords and will be sadly missed by her many other family members and friends. A special thank you to the Administration, Nursing and PSW staff of Fairview Lodge for their care and compassion. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, March 16, 2019 at THORNTON CEMETERY & FUNERAL CENTRE, 1200 Thornton Road North, Oshawa, (South of Taunton Road and off of Dryden Blvd, 905-579-6787) at 1 pm with visitation one hour prior. In memory of Gayle, donations can be made to the charity of your choice.
