It is with great sadness that we say goodbye to our beloved Gayane Vardanyan - a devoted wife, a loving mother, sister and friend, who left this world suddenly on July 2nd 2024 at the age of 64.
Gayane was born to her father Hrachik and mother Sarngul on August 15, 1959 and grew up in Armenia. She met the man of her dreams Karen Sahakyan and they married in 1986. Gayane was a devoted mother to her children Elena and Ruben, who were her pride and joy. In 2003, she and Karen made the difficult decision to move to Canada in hopes of a better future for their family, and made a life for themselves in Toronto, which she called home up until her death. Gayane was a social butterfly and helped her family connect with the many friends the family still holds close today.
Gayane was a beautiful person inside and out. She was kind, generous and had an infectious laugh. Her favorite pastime was spending time with her family, cooking delicious meals while sharing stories and laughing. Gayane lived her life the best she knew and left this earth with a heart filled with so much love and joy for her family.
Gayane is survived by her sisters Lilit and Nune, her husband Karen, daughter Elena and son Ruben, who will never forget the warmth and love she brought to their lives. Her departure comes as a great shock and a deep wound, and it is gravely felt by her entire family, friends and countless others who loved her deeply across her wide network of friends.
While our hearts mourn the loss, we take comfort in knowing that her memories will always live with us forever.
The visitation for Gayane will be held at York Cemetery and Funeral Centre on Sunday July 7th at 10:00am. In lieu of flowers, we ask that you consider donating to Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation Canada.
