May 23, 1942 - August 21, 2021

With profound sadness, the Chong family announce the passing of Garry Chong on August 21, 2021. He is predeceased by his wife of 29 years, Paula (nee. Ing d. 1998), and is the proud father of Ronald (Olga), Kevin (Leanne), and Evelyn. Adored grandfather to Christopher and Julianna. Garry will also be dearly missed by his extended family and friends.

Garry enjoyed spending time with his family, and is remembered for his kindness and generosity. “Uncle Garry” was well-loved by everyone who knew him.

Due to Covid-19 restrictions, our capacity is limited. Visitation and funeral services are limited to invited guests only. The service will be live streamed and a link will be available on Sunday August 29, 2021 at 9:50am. In lieu of floral tributes, the Chong family kindly asks that you consider making a donation to North York General Hospital or Michael Garron Hospital in Garry’s memory. The Chong family greatly appreciates your ongoing support during this difficult time.

Garry, my Dear Son-in-Law Kevin’s, father. Garry a sweet, gentle & generous human being. I send my Deepest Sympathy to the “Chong Family”. It was such a pleasure knowing Garry & sharing many wonderful family celebrations & dinners with him. He will be sadly missed but never forgotten & is now at peace.
