In memory of

Gale Lynn Evans

December 19, 1953 -  November 10, 2020

We sadly announce the passing of Gale Evans (MacNab), cherished and loving wife, mother and grandmother. Gale passed on November 10, 2020 at the age of 66 after a lifelong relationship with Cancer.
Survived by her husband Kim, her two sons and their families, Jeffrey, Rebecca, Lilly and Liam and Andrew, Skye and Layla. Gale is also survived by 7 siblings, Gary, Bruce, Kim, Mark, Barbara, Kevin and Michelle. She will also be greatly missed by extended family, former colleagues and friends.
Ancestry DNA completed her lifelong search to know where she came from. Gale found she was from sturdy pioneer stock with a dash of Irish melancholy for good measure. She was a collector of family over the years and up until the end when she connected with her birth father’s family. Searching her mothers’ side, she found four siblings whose families accepted and welcomed her. DNA matching finally confirmed her birth father and the existence of another brother and sister. She has completed her journey finally knowing who she was.
Gale was a lifelong traveler, learner and eternally curious. Sitting on a truck through African desserts marveling at how mountain ranges crumble to desert sand with no geologist nor google to explain. She was a voracious reader and would consume books on all topics.
In honor of Gale, take a moment on a beautiful spring morning in April and enjoy the beautiful sunrise and the spectacular cherry blossoms which nature so generously continues to share. Gale will be keeping an eye on all of us from her star located in the Andromeda Constellation.
Travelling forever.

Sylvia told me of Gale's passing. I was so appreciative of her support to Rod during his battle and especially since she was also going through a difficult time. Rod always spoke so highly of Gale, a wonderful boss and mentor.
My deepest sympathy to Gales family.

Gerri McDonald (Cousin)

I am so saddened to hear of Gale's passing. We were newly found cousins (she was my first cousin's daughter) through the technology of DNA and online communication . To me, we hit it off right away, sharing information and trying to locate other family members. Especially when you have a new friendship with someone, the last thing you think of is that it will be cut short. We were both looking forward to the end of Covid so we could meet in person. My correspondence with Gale helped me to focus on the family tree work I was doing and helped me to share things I hadn't really thought about. I wish life had been different and I had gotten to know Gale even better, she was obviously a strong woman, smart and caring. To Kim and their family, my deepest condolences for your loss of such a special person, my dear cousin Gale.
Respectfully,
Gerri
