It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Frederick James Smith on Thursday, January 13, 2022 at Brampton Civic Hospital, after a brief battle with COVID-19.

He is predeceased by his father Donald and survived by his cherished mother Carol, by his beloved siblings Stephan, Yvonne and Allan. Loving uncle to Erik, Patrick, Courtney and Heather.

Frederick will be greatly missed by the staff and residents of the Genesis Lodge, where he was a resident of many years.

Due to gathering restrictions related to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the family will gather in private to celebrate Frederick’s life.
