In memory of

Frank Sicchia

February 13, 1938 -  September 4, 2024

Franco (Frank) Luigi Sicchia
(Feb. 13, 1938 - Sept. 4, 2024)

On Tuesday, Sept. 3rd at 11:10 p.m., loving father, Franco Luigi Sicchia passed peacefully in his sleep, surrounded by and in the comfort of, all five of his daughters.

Frank was born in a small town in Pescara, Italy where he spent his childhood with his mother, Anunziata (new Vespi); his father, Sabatino Sicchia; and four siblings: Pasquale (Pat) Sicchia, Gustavo (Gus), Pia (Peggy) Sicchia and Romeo Sicchia.

He came to Canada in 1959 in pursuit of a better life for himself and his future family. He was hard-working, and he also loved singing, dancing and story-telling. He was often charming and funny, but he also took time to enjoy ‘la dulce vita.’ He was passionate, very sociable and above all, he had a large appetite for life.

Over this last year, his health suffered as he struggled with diabetes, to which he finally succumbed.

In death, he is at long last reunited with his parents and three deceased siblings. He is survived by his wife, Josephine Sicchia; and their four children: Giselle, Marina, Suzanne and Nancy Sicchia; as well in partnership with Rozmin Dossa and their daughter, Safiya Dossa Sicchia and her husband, Mo; his last surviving brother, Romeo Sicchia; and his grand-children: Nicole Sicchia; Rory Laverty; Evan and Brittany Heaslip.

He will be sadly missed by all who knew him and loved him.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Villa Colombo or Diabetes Canada.

Riposi in pace, Dad.
Con tanto affetto e amore.
