Frances Blantz Keilhauer was born in Slankamen, Yugoslavia on November 20, 1927. After the family was forced to relocate to Austria, she made her way to England then to Canada where she joined her sister Anna and brother-in-law Karl in Temagami. She eventually moved to Toronto where she worked in the kitchen of one of the downtown hospitals (Toronto General?) and eventually met and married Henry on July 19, 1951. They had 3 children (Linda, Betty and Gary) and later 7 grandchildren (Kimiko, Lisa, Kris, Tom, Sandy, Cole and Sabrina) and 4 great-granchildren (Alexa, Ocean, Tyler and Wolf). She was fiercely independent, had a great love for her family and was noted for her baking and sewing skills. The last few years were a struggle for her physically but she never lost her positive outlook. We would be blessed to have an ounce of her perseverance. Love you and miss you mom,
