Floris Lemine McPherson

January 22, 1954 -  January 31, 2024

It is with sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Floris McPherson.

Many of us knew her as Carol Brown, a well- known Canadian reggae vocalist.

On January 31, 2024, she passed away peacefully in the presence of her daughter, Krystal Klair Mittoo at the Credit Valley Hospital.
Floris had been courageously battling GIST; a rare type of Sarcoma, related to Stomach Cancer.
She leaves behind a legacy that will endure within the heart of Reggae music, for years to come.
She will be dearly missed by family and friends, including her three children. Dawayne, Kelvin, and Krystal.

I really miss Carol , we talk almost everyday or weeks months and it did not matter where I was Europe, africa, brasil , Uk we find time to touch base or hook up , live session or a recording studio , she was a real artist and she play the part.[ I producer a few songs on records with her..we had a new project in the pipe line to explore. When I got the news I was so broken up..[ I lost a good friend ] to the families, the lord gives and he lord takes, blessed is the name of the Lord [Yah] Rastafari R.I.P. Carol Brown
