Sending my love and condolences to the Vlahos & D’Attolico families on the loss of Mamma/Nonna
I was one of many to have the lucky fortune to get to call her “Nonna” and when I married her grandson in November of 2023, I got to inherit her officially as my “Nonna.”
I grew close to her and loved her, feeling the same warmth and love in return. I watched her fight through so many health challenges with such strength and determination. Her family meant the most to her and were the reason she fought for so long. It was only fitting that she left this world surrounded by her whole family that cherished her so much.
We will continue her tomato sauce legacy, but it will feel different this year without our queen there to lead us.
It will be hard to hear the word “whatever” without thinking of her and hearing her signature Italian accent.
It was a very hard goodbye, but I can take some comfort in knowing that she is no longer in pain and that she has been reunited with her husband, Marino.
She was very loved and will be very missed, but I am so lucky to have been gifted with her in my life for nearly 8 years.
Rest in Peace, Nonna ❤️
Please accept our deepest sympathies
