In memory of

Fenton Edman

January 29, 1959 -  October 8, 2021

“Bobby” Fenton Uriah Edman passed away on October 8th, 2021 at the age of 62, at his home in Meadowvale, Ontario, Canada, with his sister Florene, Johanna(Oma), and his partner, Elizabeth by his side, after a very courageous battle with cancer.

Bobby was born to parents Franklin and Priscilla Hedman on January 29th 1959, in Beaconhill, Jamaica.
He is survived by his brothers and sisters Valda Hedman, Emily Clarke, Floreen Hedman, Olievene Hedman, Trevor Hedman, & Leroy Hedman. He also leaves behind his children & grand children. Latiya Hedman (grandchildren: Jailon Thomas, Damonique Martin), Daniel Edman, Amanda Ebanks, Meshach, Janelle & Jacob Edman, & Harper Johnson.

Bobby grew up in his homeland Jamaica where he had many adventures as a youth, which he could tell stories about for hours! He was always brave and ambitious, and decided he wanted to make more of himself so that he could have enough to provide for his family, and create more opportunities. At the age of 24, he set out for a new adventure in Canada!

Bobby arrived in Canada on a New Year’s Eve in 1983. He began his career in the restaurant industry just shortly after he landed. He quickly worked his way up as a kitchen manager at O’toole’s in Brampton. His path took him to be a successful “Chef” status, part owner, and huge mentor, first at Mustang’s Texas Grill in Clarkson, and then on to Mustang’s Big’Ol Grill in Stoney Creek, where he retired from, due to his illness.
Bobby was a gentle natured man, he was such a positive mentor to so many in this industry, staff and customers!

He will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by all who loved him!

None of us can name one person who didn’t love Bobby, because Bobby put “peace, love and harmony” above all else!
