Surrounded by the love of his family, Feng-Hsi Hsieh passed away peacefully at home on July 9th, 2021, at the age of 95. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 47 years, Chiao-Ying, and their children Tammy (Jonathan) and Tina. He was a cherished grandfather to Caleb and Micah. He will also be greatly missed by his large extended family.

Feng-Hsi was born on Dec 18, 1925 in a large family of nine siblings in Szechuan, China. He enrolled in the R.O.C. Air Force Academy and left home at a young age. After graduating from the Aeronautical and Mechanical Engineering program he relocated with the military units to Taiwan and worked as aeronautical engineer at the air force base in Pingtung, Taiwan for many years. He later became passionate about education, studied, and graduated from the National Taiwan Normal University (formally a Teachers College), and devoted himself as a middle/high school teacher for 25 years. After his retirement he immigrated to Canada with wife and children in 1990.

謝奉熹先生，四川自貢市人，出生於西元一九二五年十二月十八日。家中兄弟姐妹眾多。

先生青年時離鄉背井，投身軍校, 於空軍機械軍官學校畢業後，隨軍遷台， 擔任屏東空軍航空儀器工程師，曾被選派至日本進修，頗受器重。後因有志從事教育工作，轉換跑道，考入並畢業於國立台灣師範大學，從事教職歷時二十五載，教學認真，嚴謹負責。退休後攜妻女移民加國，開創嶄新生活。由於特別牽掛思念親人，經常往返於加中之間，陪侍年邁母親並友好親屬，多年堅持不斷。

先生一生自律儉約，淡泊自守。閑時喜愛閱讀，或徜徉於大自然之中，觀花賞鳥。於公元二零二一年七月九日清晨在家中，有妻女陪伴安然離世，享年九十五歲。
