Felix Leung, age 44, died unexpectedly of a massive heart attack at St. Michael’s Hospital, Toronto, Ontario, on June 30, 2025. We are devastated by the sudden loss of Felix. Felix joined his mother in Heaven.

Felix was born on October 22, 1980 to Francis Leung and Susan Tai. Felix was a bundle of joy for all of us. In 1983 Felix emigrated to Canada with his parents. Felix was a care-free, happy, child. Felix attended St. Benedict Catholic School in Markham where the teachers wanted him to be a comedian because of his quick-wit. Felix attended Father Michael McGivney Catholic High School for Grade 9 and transferred to De La Salle College in midtown Toronto, where he graduated from Grade 13 in 1999. Felix graduated from the University of Toronto majoring in Computer Science, with minors in Mathematics and Arts History. He worked in various firms in Downtown Toronto within the field of Technology before joining his current employer, Telus. Felix was a talented artist who worked on this craft throughout his life. Felix had a passion for art, film, animation, cooking, and video games. He was generous in sharing his knowledge and passions with those around him. Felix was deeply loyal and will be missed.

Felix was a great friend and always funny to socialize and hang out with (even if remote). I am so sorry that I am not able to travel for his funeral service.

My name is Charlotte and my husband is Frank. We are so sorry for your loss. May your memory with him bring you comfort. Cherish the good memories; they'll bring you peace.

The first time I met Felix was during my interview in late 2021 and then we had become colleagues and supported each other all the time. He taught me a lot and also witnessed my growth in my career. My husband met Felix once when we were invited to join the same conference in Toronto. We had lunch together at the same table.

Felix will be deeply missed.

Heartfelt Condolences

Dear The Leung Family,

I was deeply saddened to hear about Felix’s passing. Please accept my heartfelt condolences during this incredibly difficult time.

Felix was not only a wonderful colleague but also a true friend. We shared many meaningful moments both at work and outside of it. He brought warmth, laughter, and dedication to everything he did, and I feel truly fortunate to have known and worked alongside him.

We learned so much from one another, and his support and friendship meant a great deal to me. His presence will be missed profoundly.

My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. I hope you find strength in the love that surrounds you and in the memories you cherish.

With deepest sympathy,

I am deeply saddened to hear about the sudden passing of your beloved Felix. At just 44, he had so much life, laughter, and brilliance still to share with the world. His sharp wit, kind heart, and vibrant presence left a mark on all of us who had the privilege of knowing him. It’s hard to imagine the office, or life, without his energy and humor. Please know that my heart is with you during this unimaginable time, and I hope you can find some comfort in the love and memories he leaves behind. May his light continue to shine in all those he touched.
