Our adventurous sunny boy Felix passed away peacefully in the comfort of his own home, surrounded by the love of his family after a courageous battle with brain cancer (glioblastoma) over the last seventeen months.
Thank you to all the friends who showed tremendous support to Felix, along with the staff at the ER of North Bay Regional Health Centre, the ICU of Health Sciences North, the neuro-oncology unit at St. Michael’s Hospital and the acupuncture clinic. Our sincerest thank you to the professional teams at Sunnybrook Odette Cancer Centre and the palliative team, and the Toronto Rehab Institute - Rumsey Centre, as well as the NP and nurse of Central East LHIN and SE Health who provided Felix with superior care.
A private family funeral service was held at York Funeral Centre and he was laid to rest at York Cemetery in North York.
Please do not order flowers. If desired, memorial donations can be made to the non-profit medical organizations listed above.
Quote from Felix:
“Maybe there is a god. He can make me super smart, and he can take me away in a second.”
