My first memory of her was when she and your father (they were engaged at the time) visited us at a hotel in Athens. I was 6 years old and we were on our way back to Canada. Her joy and spirit filled the room. I sat on her lap and just listened to her talk and laugh. She made such a huge impression on me.
Of course your parents came to Canada and our family spent many wonderful times together. She was intelligent, bright, always smiling, always kind. She was also a very beautiful woman.
I can't tell you how saddened I am. The world has lost a shining star.
I wish the family strength as you deal with this tremendous loss. Memory Eternal. Love never ends.
Voula Vlahakis Shone.
