Fani (Noulie) Novratidis (neé Talidis)

May 4th, 1942 – February 11th, 2023

Fani peacefully fell asleep in the Lord on Saturday February 11, 2023, with her family by her side at Lakeridge Health Oshawa.

Fani was a devoted wife, a loving mother and a proud and loving yiayia.

Fani was born in Amyndeon, Greece, where at a young age, she became a teacher. She moved to Canada in 1966 where she met and married her love Lazaros. They spent 53 wonderful years together. She was predeceased by Lazaros, her sister Pavlina, and her parents Melpomeni and Evangelos.

She was an amazing and loving mother to Bill (Anita) and Helen (Constantine) and a cherished yiayia to Callie, Nicolas, Fanoula, Lazaros, Sofia and Peter. Fani was a dear sister to Soto (Eileen), sister in law to Kostaki (Anna) and leaves behind many nieces, nephews, cousins, koumbari, in-laws, and friends from far and wide. Fani will be remembered for her generosity, and always welcoming friends and family into her home which was a centre of love, laughter, and much food.

Visitation will be held on Thursday February 16th from 3pm to 8:30pm at Thornton Funeral Centre (1200 Thornton Road North, Oshawa) and the funeral will take place on Friday February 17th at 11:00 am at Evangelismos Greek Orthodox Church (399 Farewell St., Oshawa). Internment to follow at Thornton Funeral Centre.
