It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Mrs. Fai Yu Ng on Wednesday August 12, 2020 after a courageous battle with colon cancer in North York General Hospital.

Mrs. Ng will be forever missed and loved by her children and grandchildren:
▪ Daughter, Annie (Philip Tse), grandchildren Vivian, Jennifer and Jonathan
▪ Daughter, Flora (Bobby Wong), grandchildren Samantha (Victor Cheng) and Christopher
▪ Son, Terry (Joanna), grandchildren Robyn (Jeffrey Lo) and Evelyn
▪ Son, Michael Kam-On

Mrs. Ng was a loving mother and a very beloved grandmother. In her younger days, Mrs. Ng enjoyed sports and used to play basketball. In high school, she was the captain of the school’s all girls’ basketball team. She once played table tennis with the grandchildren and they got a glimpse of grandma’s sporty side. She was a schoolteacher in Hong Kong and later became a homemaker. The family immigrated to Canada in 1974 and settled in Toronto. Adjusting to the new life, she threw herself into learning English, never skipping a class. Her hard work paid off, after a few years she was able to read and carry simple conversations. She enjoyed trying new restaurants, reading newspaper and grocery shopping. But nothing made her happier than seeing her grandchildren. She accepted Jesus to be her Lord and Savior in 2016 and was baptized at home 2 years later in the presence of her family.

A privately attended funeral will be held at York Funeral Centre on August 25 th, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. The service will be streamed with link on this page starting at 10:45 am.
