It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved father on February 16, 2024 at the age of 90. Peter passed away peacefully with his family by his side.

Loving husband of the late Maria (d.2018) for 61 wonderful years. Cherished father to Thea (Danny), Vangie (Enrico), Jim (Carol), Bessie (Jim) and pre-deceased by daughter Anna.

Proud adored Dedo (grandfather) to Peter, Michael, Paul, David, Christian, Kayla & Nicolas.

Peter was born on April 15, 1933 in Banitsa, Florina, Greece to Theodora (Dola) & Pericles (Paul) Kalpakis.

By the age of 14 (1947), his father and brothers Charalambos & Demetrios (Mitze) had all passed leaving only him & his mother. He married Maria Pedias in 1957. They immigrated to Canada in 1960 with a toddler & a newborn & brought his mother over in 1962.

He developed a strong work ethic at a very young age which he carried with him throughout his personal life. He was a man of utmost integrity. His boisterous voice will be remembered by all who knew him. As a father and grandfather, he inspired all with his unconditional support.

Throughout his time he lived a life of love and generosity, of caring and giving. He loved working in his garden, cooking, fixing things and sharing his eclectic knowledge.

Peter will be greatly missed by family and friends near and far. Husband, Father, Dedo, Friend, Cousin, Uncle, Neighbour. Forever cherished, respected and loved ⚘
