In memory of

Evelyn Frances Lyons

December 25, 1936 -  September 4, 2023

A wonderful, loving, and kind person, married for 66 years to Lawrence “Larry” Lyons. Born on December 25th, 1936, and sister of a twin brother, Elmo Gibson. Evelyn is the mother of two children, a daughter Dana, and a son Dason (Jodi). Grandmother to six grandchildren, Brooke, Chelsey, Jaden, Teagan, Kailee, and Dayln.

All her life she has gone out of her way to help others unselfishly in many ways. In her younger days, she was very athletic, playing ball as a pitcher and winning the Junior AA Provincial Championship. A very excellent figure skater and pianist, teaching local children how to read music and play. Evelyn worked as a school secretary for 22 years for the Scarborough Board of Education and a member of the Scarborough Probus Club. She enjoyed theaters and traveling to many countries.

We all love her very much and will miss her happy smile and pleasant mannerisms, as she tended to create a happy feeling when she was near. She always made an effort to stay close to her many nieces and nephews who are related and was interested in all happenings. We shall all miss her.

Larry, Dana and Dason. My condolences to all of you during these difficult times. Always remember the good memories you have of her. Evelyn was such a kind lady to all of us neighbourhood kids. She always made birthday parties at your house fun. I wish all of you my sympathies.

She was a lovely person, always had a smile on her face. A treat to be with on the Probus trips.
