In memory of

Evdokia (Eva) Traitses

August 25, 1930 -  September 1, 2021

We are very sad to announce that our dear Evdokia (Eva) passed away peacefully at home at the age of 91.
Beloved wife of Elias and loving mother of Eleftheria (Mike) and Helen (Tim). Adoring baba of grand children Soula (Tom), Steven, Alexander and Nicholas and great-grandchildren Nicole and Christina. She will also be fondly remembered by many relatives and friends in Canada as well as Greece and Australia.

Evdokia was born in the village of Skopia in Greece and immigrated to Toronto with her family in 1973. She was the youngest of the very close-knitted Ounki sisters, predeceased by Vasiliki, Sofia, Thomai and survived by her sister Magda. Eva had a great work ethic and sense of humour and welcomed all with her radiant hospitality. She was a gardener, a cook and a baker and her house always smelled of her fresh bread and famous koulourakia. She loved her family deeply and supported them throughout the years. She was a passionate wife, mom and grandma; she was the heart of our big family and we will miss her very much.

Heartfelt thanks go to the medical community and all the relatives who supported her.

Due to Covid she will be laid to rest in a private family service.

Memorial donations may be made to the Sunnybrook Foundation.

"It broke our hearts to lose you but you didn't go alone, For part of us went with you the day God called you home."
