Ēva has ten grandchildren, and many Great Grandchildren.
Ēva, was born in Budapest, Hungary.
She and her spouse Roland, made a very difficult decision, during the 1956 Hungarian Revolution, ruled by Russian Communism.
Dressed as tourists, Ēva was 4 months pregnant, they both boarded the train to the destination, Sopron, Hungary, on the west border, not too far from the magnificent Alps.
They disembarked the train following their written instructions.
As they were walking in the dark, dogs in the distance were barking, without hesitation, they started to run blindly, in fear of being caught by the Russians.
At last, appeared the cut opening of the barbed, IRON CURTAIN! Relief of Freedom overwhelmed them as they saw in the distance, the lit candle, at the Farm house window, in Austria.
In Vienna, arrangements were made to arrive in Canada. They finally made their destination and proudly, made it their home. It was a joyous, courageous dream come true.
Later in life, Eva worked tiresly, as a sewer, at Chrysler, for fifteen years.
Ēva with Jozsef, enjoyed the many family celebrations and more so, as the families grew larger.
We will all miss her, infectious laugh, clowning around, imitations, and most of all her warm love she shared with everyone.
We like to thank the hospitals in Durham, Doctors, Nurses, PSW, Frontline Workers, who assisted caring for Ēva Kacso.
In lieu of flowers, please make donations to a charity of your choice.
Obituary composed on behalf of the family by Christina Doris Bialy (nee Kacso).
