In memory of

Eva Andrews

May 8, 1928 -  December 24, 2021

Eva Andrews, 93, beloved mother and grandmother passed away suddenly on December 24th, 2021.

Predeceased by her brother Ted and sister Ruth; survived by her sister Genie, proud mother to James (Theresa) and Robert, proud grandmother to Shannon, nieces, nephews, and friends.

Eva was a force of nature and lived a wonderful, active life. She was an alumni member of St. Clement's School and the University of Toronto (Victoria College), with a Master’s degree in psychology. She was an avid tennis player and skier, and long time member of Georgian Peaks Ski Club and Brampton Tennis Club. She was awarded for volunteer work at the Rose Theatre and with the Rogers cup, both of which she volunteered her time for over 20 years.

She will be cremated and laid to rest aside her family in Mount Pleasant Cemetery. With ongoing restrictions there will be a celebration of life, funeral and reception, planned for Eva when we’re able to fulfil her wishes.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers please consider a donation to the Canadian Cancer Society.

Eva was a long time friend of my parents, Reg and Irene Coultart who have both passed. In fact I believe my mom babysat Eva. We exchanged Christmas cards even this year. I regret that I had never sent along photos I have of Eva as a little girl.
Heartfelt condolences to Eva's family.

So sorry to read of Eva’s death. I have many memories of playing tennis with Eva. She was a tricky player and a stickler for the rules! She was not a fan of colourful garb! Her sense of humour kept one smiling. My husband and I also enjoyed a few opportunities to ski with her up north. We remember her fondly and send condolences to her family whom she always spoke of with pride.

I have known Eva for the past 60 some years. My late husband, Dr Morley Rutherford, veterinarian, and myself played tennis and skied with Eva at Georgian Peaks, and the Brampton tennis club.
Eva was very much an Icon at the Brampton Tennis Club, and was the historian and participant for many years. She will be missed by many members.

My sincere condolences to Rob and Jim in the loss of your mother, friend and grandmother. Mary Jo Rutherdord
