It is with deep love and gratitude that the family of Eugenie “Jenny” Ho-Fung, née Chong, announces her peaceful passing on Monday, May 4, 2026, at Markham Stouffville Hospital, at the age of 95.

Jenny was the beloved wife of the late George Ho-Fung and the devoted mother of Maria and mother-in-law of Joe. She will be lovingly remembered as a beloved aunt to Dawn, Andrew, Carol, Kimmy, Michael C., Karen, Hiram Jr., Tyrone, Judy, Jessica, Michael H., Tony, Philip, and their families, as well as a dear relative and friend to many.

Born in Jamaica, Jenny spent much of her early life in China, where she was raised by her beloved grandmother and developed a deep appreciation for Chinese traditions. She later returned to Jamaica and, in the mid-1970s, made Toronto her home.

Jenny was a deeply faithful and devoted Christian who lived her faith through service, patience, calmness, and care for others.

She will be remembered for her spontaneous smile, her easy laughter, and her love of food — both cooking for others and enjoying a delicious meal herself. Those who knew her best will smile knowing that Jenny could hardly go anywhere without her beloved white rice.

Jenny was predeceased by her husband George Ho-Fung, her mother Choy You Lim, and her siblings Roslyn, Iris, Louis, Aston, and Edna. She was the eldest and last surviving of her siblings.

Her love, faith, and laughter will live on in all who knew her. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
