Ethel Subogini Jaicinthra Ratnam

September 4, 1963 -  February 18, 2025

Ethel “Jaici” Ratnam was a lifelong learner who adored her beloved husband, Sathiyabalan and cherished her loving children, Kareen, Jason, and Neson, as well as her son-in-law, Aaron. She was incredibly intelligent, always curious, and eager to expand her knowledge. Her passion for education was unwavering, proving that learning has no age limit. She earned her Master in Business Administration (MBA) at 54 and later achieved her Project Management Professional (PMP) certification at 57.

She had a deep love for plants and found great joy in nurturing them. A naturally talented and creative individual, she had a special gift for crafting, bringing beauty and artistry into everything she made. Her greatest professional accomplishment was her role as HRIS Manager at Merlin Entertainments in Orlando, Florida, a position she took immense pride in and dedicated herself to wholeheartedly.

She was the beloved daughter of the late Mr. Samuel Duraisingam and the late Mrs. Grace Mahes Duraisingam. She was also a beloved daughter-in-law to the late Mr. Ariyakutty Ratnam and the late Mrs. Parasakthy Ratnam.

She was a loving sister to Rev. Christabell Suthanthira Selvalingham and Solomon Rohan Athisayarajah Duraisingam. She was a caring sister-in-law to Selva Selvalingham, the late Daisy Devika Duraisingam, Sathiyawathy Rajendram, Rajendram, Sathiyamoorthy Ratnam, Rajamanohary Ratnam, Sarathadevi Ramakrishnan, Ramakrishnan Navaratnam, Ratnam Sathieswaran, Sashirekha Sathieswaran, Sathieswary Vidakandan, the late V.Vidakandan, Sathiyaseelan Ratnam and Rajini Ratnam.
