A loving aunt, great-aunt, and friend, Espirita Solis was a kind and generous woman who always put the needs of others before her own. Espirita emigrated to Canada from the Philippines in 1985 as a caregiver and a seamstress. She spent the majority of her life raising the children of her siblings, cousins, nieces and nephews. Her major legacy is that of assisting many of her Filipino relatives to start a new life in Canada. Her impact on the life trajectories of her loved ones was immeasurable.

Espirita was a strong, healthy, independent woman through her late 80s. In early Jan. 2022, she experienced a fall which led to a lengthy hospital visit. Complications which arose as a result of that admission ultimately led to her demise.

We are only reassured by the fact she is with the Lord, experiencing a peace which surpasses all understanding.

We love and miss you, Grandma Nita! We cannot wait until we see each other again.
