Erwin Lutz

October 5, 1923 - December 16, 2018

Erwin Otto Lutz was born on October 5th 1923, in Gaissau, Austria. He passed away peacefully in Scarborough, Ontario on December 16th 2018.

Erwin immigrated to Canada with his wife Erna and his 2 year-old son Alexander in June 1955. In 1957 they welcomed another son, Peter.

He will be forever in the hearts of his loving wife of 65 years, sons Alex (Janet) and Peter (Anna), grandchildren Evan (Jocelyn), Simon, James (Erin) and Benita (Ryan), and great-grandchildren Alex, Evelyn, Peyton, Reilly, Wesley, Emilia and Natalie.

Erwin designed electrical systems for all types and sizes of buildings and projects including Commerce Court Tower, TTC Subway and the CN Tower. He loved his work.

A man of few words, he loved and was proud of every one of us in the ever-growing family. His happiest times were at Crane Lake enjoying "Lutzaberg" with his family.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly ask that you make a donation in Erwin's memory to Parkinson's Society of Canada and/or a charity of your choice.

Our neighbour and friend on Crane Lake since 2004, Erwin will be fondly remembered and greatly missed. He was a pioneer, a craftsman and a resourceful handyman. I know he's tinkering now at his cottage in heaven, waiting for Erna and the rest of us.
