I love you Uncle Ernie, you have left me with so many amazing memories. You are back with Aunt Bell, let the dancing begin. I will now be able to visit the 4 most influential people in my life all at once now, Rest in Peace Uncle Ernie.

I met Ernie when he moved into Viva Whitby Shores Retirement Community and he was always a light in the room. From his dancing, great energy in exercise and always friendly smile, the staff and I here quickly considered him a friend. We've missed Ernie and will continue to miss him and think of him often. :)

I met Ernie while working at V!VA Whitby Shores and while I had the joy and honour of making a lot of fun memories with him, these are the ones that come to mind: how he took it upon himself to take care of the pool table upstairs in the pub, how whenever he heard a good song, he was the first one to be clapping along or dancing, how he was never afraid to share how passionate he was when it came to the game of football (soccer), the many times he attended drumfit class and watching him drum to his own beat, and doing twin/triple day with him, another community member and myself. I will always cherish the time I had with him and will miss his smile and laugh. I hope you are playing a lot of football wherever you are my friend and know that I miss you.

Ernie, you and Isabel were the first couple to welcome us to Canada 50 years ago. We remained friends throughout, enjoying many social events together.

You were a good work mate and will be missed. May you rest in perfect paradise with your beloved Isabel.

Ernie make sure you give those referees a hard time “up there”.
Remind them of our playing days with Monteleone and all your ‘Scotland Caps’.
